Liam Gunning is a Recording and Mix Engineer from and based in South London.

He specialises in Recording and Mixing bands and solo artists, adapting to suit the styles and needs of each artist.

Having jumped straight out of university into his first role as an assistant engineer to Aylwin Steele at Subfrantic Studios, Liam is already an experienced and accomplished engineer and a fast growing talent in the London music scene. He has now worked his way up from Intern to Assistant to In-House Engineer to his current role of Head Studio Engineer at Subfrantic Studios.

With 7 years of experience recording and mixing artists across a range of genres, working with platforms such as BBC Introducing and Amazon Music, Liam’s mixes have brought in millions of streams, been added to Spotify curated playlists including New Music Friday, Our Generation, Fresh Jazz and Fresh Folk, been featured in magazines such as Psychedelic Baby Mag and Earmilk and had radio plays on stations like Planet Rock and Hard Rock Hell Radio.

In addition to his studio work, Liam also often works in Live Sound in a variety of roles such as FOH Engineer, Monitor Tech and Backline Tech. He has worked with Artists like Dave, Go West and Paul Young and has worked on headline shows at Reading and Leeds Festival and Longitude Festival.

Liam has a First Class degree in Music Production and a Masters with distinction in Advanced Music Technology, as well being a certified Avid Pro-Tools User. 

Liam is currently working as Head Studio Engineer at Subfrantic Studios.
